Friendly service, good food, generous drinks.
Food was good, awesome service. Will visit again if I am in the area.
Wonderful small town tavern. Friendly hard working folks, lots of good friends and kids you haven't met yet. Settle down for a delicious home made sandwich and beverage of your choice.
We were traveling through on Route 66, and decided to stop in for lunch. Oh my goodness, Nancy is the absolute best! So friendly! She was working the bar, cooking, waitressing and answering phones, and still tended to us promptly. My husband got the breaded tenderloin, the crust was incredible! Nothing like what we are used to. I got the Chubby Melt(s) in your mouth!!!! This gem is definitely worth stopping in for.
We visited this town in our motorhome. If you find yourself in Atlanta and are in the mood for a beer or a bite to eat, you must visit Chubby's. The warm welcome and friendly atmosphere make it truly enchanting. Tereasa, who works behind the bar, is wonderful—always happy and smiling. You would think she owns the place, given how well she treats the customers. The tacos were delicious, as were the beer and wine.
Wow! I wish I could pack Chubby's up and bring them back home with me. I need someone in my town to add the Puck's Chubby Melt to their menu. Sooo good. A little messy to eat but absolutely delicious! The grilled chicken was done to perfection. I'm always hesitant to order grilled chicken when I eat out, because many people over cook it to the point you feel like you are eating dried up jerky. But the girl on the grill at Chubby's knows her stuff! No need for a knife it was so tender you could just bite right through it. The toasted bun, jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle ranch were the exact right combo to make this sandwich everything my taste buds could ever want. My dad and I shared an order of sweet potato fries, and it was just enough to fill us up. He ordered the Brisket Sandwich and had all positives to say about it as well - noting that the bbq sauce was really good. I ordered a side of the bbq to dip my fries in. When he was done, he literally took a fork and scooped bbq sauce up out of the dip cup and ate it plain. The staff kept apologizing for our wait because they had just got slammed with a full house of customers - there were only 2 tables and maybe 1 barstool open when we walked in. My dad and I were in no hurry - enjoying a day of sightseeing in Atlanta, but honestly, the amount of time from ordering to eating was minimal. We had menus at 1:30 pm and food on the table by 1:55 pm. Servers were attentive, kind, and professional, which only made the excellent food even better. If I ever wander back near Atlanta, IL, I know where I will be stopping to eat. And if you are reading this review, go. You will be happy you did. Wishing the owner & staff all the very best! Keep sharing your culinary talents and delicious food with the hungry people who pass through. I hope all the locals know what a gem they have there in town. YUM!
Theresa was the best. She bartenders and cooked. Very sweet and very good at her job! Love you Theresa! We will be back!
